NCSSM-Durham has completed the first phase of a two-phase renovation of the dining hall on Ground Bryan, which had had no major renovation/upgrade in the 40+ years of the school's existence. The renovations were designed to provide a much improved dining experience for our current and future students. 

The first phase completely remodeled the existing footprint of the dining room and servery, and these modernized spaces continue to be used for dining in the short term. After the construction of the adjacent Academic Commons building extension, which will include new dining space, the current dining hall space will turn into an active lounge area where students can study and socialize during the day and evening.

Status

The renovated dining hall opened to serve students on Sept. 11, 2023! Multi-stall restrooms off the Chang Dining Room and single-stall restrooms between Bryan and Beall were renovated in the summer of 2024.
